The magic of book design
As authors we wait for months to see what will happen with the cover design of our books. Our US edition had particularly thrilled us. Not simply because it was an unexpected hardcover edition, nor for the truly fabulous illustrations by Stevie Lewis who brings her wonderful sense of humour to the pictures throughout the book. But also for this back cover that deeply touched us.
Stevie has never met us, nor our children, but she did something truly serendipitous when she created this image that so brightly echoes many conversations we’ve had with our children over the years while sitting at our writing desks.
So when you pluck a copy of Finding Serendipity off the shelf of a US bookshop, you’re in for a treat when you turn it over…
