Polka Dot Brownies

Ingredients
  1. 200g (7oz) dark cooking chocolate, chopped
  2. 250g (8oz) butter, chopped
  3. 1½ cups brown sugar
  4. 4 eggs
  5. ½ cup cocoa powder, sifted
  6. 1¼ cups plain (all-purpose) flour, sifted
  7. ¼ teaspoon baking powder
  8. 350g orange-flavoured chocolate balls (Jaffas)
Method

Preheat the oven to 160 degrees C (325 degrees F). Place the chocolate and butter in a small saucepan over low heat and stir until melted. Set aside to cool. Place the sugar, eggs, cocoa, flour and baking powder in a large bowl. Pour over the cooked chocolate mixture and mix well. Stir in the chocolate balls. Pour into a lightly greased 20cm (8in) square tin lined with non-stick baking paper. Bake for 50 minutes or until cooked when tested with a skewer. Cool in the tin. To serve, cut into squares.
